Workshop objectives

MCS 2013 is the twlefth edition of the well-established series of meetings providing the leading international forum for the discussion of issues in multiple classifier systems and ensemble methods. The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers from diverse communities concerned with this topic, including pattern recognition, machine learning, neural network, data mining and statistics.

The special focus of MCS 2015 will be on the application of multiple classifier systems for Pattern Recognition in Human-Computer-Interaction.

Workshop Topics

Papers describing original work in the following and related research topics are welcome:

  • Foundations of ensemble methods
  • Design of multiple classifier systems
  • Classifier combination and classifier fusion
  • Clustering combination
  • Classifier selection and ensemble pruning
  • Diversity in multiple classifier systems
  • Bagging and boosting
